Alisha Lauchie
Alisha Lauchie has a background in Social Work with a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and a Master’s Degree from Grand Valley State University. Alisha is a native of Detroit but has worked and served in the Grand Rapids area for the past 6 years. Since being in Grand Rapids Alisha has had the opportunity to receive her Clinical License in Social Work, graduate as an alumni from the Transformational Leaders program with the Urban Core Collective, and serve as a Board Member for Catherine’s Health Center. Her professional career has included working in the mental health field by providing counseling services for youth and adults, program coordination and group facilitation in the area of substance use prevention, and working alongside collaborative groups and coalitions to address public health concerns and issues regarding diversity and equity. Currently Alisha works as the Director of Organizational Alignment for the Urban Core Collective and a Behavioral Health Therapist at the Behavioral Resources and Institute for Neurological Services (BRAINS).
Alisha believes in the importance of coming together collectively to help address issues in our community and to support one another as we pursue personal and organizational goals. She is passionate about sharing messages of hope with others and assisting people and groups with finding common ground to more effectively work together by building authentic relationships rooted in trust, understanding, sacrifice and compassion.
