Mentorship is critical to success in any career field. Kisha will discuss how to maximize mentoring relationships and also discuss the differences between mentors, coaches, and sponsors.
Kisha McPherson
Kisha McPherson, a native Detroiter, works in Health Care Operations with the Spectrum Health Medical Group Lakeshore region. Previously, Kisha worked as Director of Operations, overseeing the Muskegon area clinical practices.
Prior to that, as an Administrative Fellow at Spectrum Health, she worked on several projects throughout the entire health system. Kisha earned a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics/Medical Technology from Michigan State University.
With a passion for the elimination of health disparities, Kisha serves as the Chair and founding member of the Spectrum Health African Americans for Resources & Engagement (SHAARE).
Kisha serves as a Board Member and Programming Committee Lead for the United Methodist Community House in Grand Rapids, MI. She is also Secretary for the West Michigan Chapter of the National Association for Health Services Executives (NAHSE), and member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Great Lakes Chapter Education Committee. Kisha enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and puppy.
