Daniel J. Parker is a Director of Information Services at Spectrum Health as well as co-founder and visionary of Kingdom Life Ministries, a vibrant church in the urban core of Grand Rapids, MI. Throughout a 20+ year career in IT and 17+ years of community advocacy, he has interacted in a multiplicity of environments, as well as lead broad and diverse groups of people. Daniel has served in official and advisory capacities on boards, steering committees, and think tanks of various community groups with the hopes of impacting people’s lives and the city that he and his family call home.
At Spectrum Health he works diligently to manage a complex technological environment across a thriving health system. He serves on the System Inclusion Council, providing insight and strategic direction for Inclusion and Diversity within the system; and serves as the Business Inclusion Champion for the Young Professionals Inclusion Resource Group - providing advice, mentorship, guidance, to positively impact the business; he is a leadership resource to the Spectrum Health African-American group and is a certified facilitator in Senn Delaney’s cultural change program.
In his pastoral role, he focuses on unlocking the potential of people and facilitating change within the community. Daniel is a community trustee and alumni of Leadership Grand Rapids. A technologist by trade, he holds a Master’s Degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in Ministerial Leadership.
