Jason L. Paulateer

Jason L. Paulateer serves as the Community and Economic Development Market Manager at Fifth Third Bank, responsible for Michigan and Indiana. In this role, he oversees the Bank’s regional compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act, cultivates community partnerships, and executes community development strategies. With more than 25 years of banking and community experience, Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. In 2021, Jason was recognized by Crain's Detroit Business, Michigan’s Premier Business Publication, for his service to the nonprofit community, in its 2021 Notable Nonprofit Board Members publication. Jason also received the prestigious Gene Kuthy Community Development Award, was a member of Class XXXVIII in Leadership Detroit, and is very active in the community. He is the board chair for Communities First, Inc., of Flint & Detroit and immediate past chair of the Michigan Forum for African Americans in Philanthropy. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Samaritas, New Life Community Church, Forgotten Harvest, Detroit LISC, Develop Detroit, Connaire Lending and Luella Hannan Foundation. He formerly served on the boards of Bloomfield Hills Public Schools, Gleaners Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, CEDAM, Wedgwood Christian Services, Home Repair Services, and IFF.
