How do you find the right fit or even find out they exist? What is the difference between being on a paid Board versus an unpaid Board? In this session, you’ll learn how to identify and pursue board service opportunities.
Paola R. Mendivil

Paola R. Mendivil, CTA is Catering Coordinator for her family business, El Granjero Mexican Grill, established in 2007. Born and raised in Mexico City, Paola moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2005. She obtained her in Business Administration Degree from Ferris Grand Rapids in 2017.
During her time working at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Paola was board member for Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW) for three years and the Communications Coordinator for the Latino Community Coalition for two. Paola has served in the City of Grand Rapids Planning Commission for two years and is currently the Board Treasurer of the inaugural Board for the Westside Collaborative.
Paola is a non-traditional, first generation college grad passionate about providing personal growth opportunities and connections for her networking circles including the Latina Network, The FSU LEADeres program, BL2END, and the Latino Community Coalition. Paola was named Top Women-Owned Business by the Grand Rapids Business Journal in Spring of 2019 and one of the Top 50 Latinas in Michigan by the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan in the fall of 2018. Paola is also
co-captain of Deportivo Westside, a co-ed soccer team with the Grand Rapids Champions League that has grown from 9 to 11 teams in 5 years.
Paola enjoys living in the Westside with her husband Alberto and their children: Alan and Ian.
